Probably go overboard but it's cheap insurance. I try to keep a handful in all the tractors and combines. Probably go through 10 bags of them a year. I have found a lot of uses for mig welder wire,zip ties have gotten me home,tarp straps cannot remember all the times they have been misused for temporary repairs. It works just as good if not better and doesn't leave the sticky residue on things like duct tape does. Tile tape is starting to replace duct tape around here. And just remember, its a temporary fix until it works, then it becomes perminent. A shop vac duct taped to the diesel tank neck kept the fuel back and the quarter kept the JB Weld from sucking up into it. +1 And used a quarter with the JB Weld for a bigger hole. I took it to get welded and it stil leaked, put some JB Weld on it and it has held for 3 years! Silicone rescue tape has saved me before.
